Effective product marketing is not created by over-promising, stringing together the most cutting-edge buzzwords, or creating the "coolest" logo.  Good product marketing attracts prospective clients by communicating how a solution can address problems.  Great product marketing can actually hinder the competition, as customers start to think about a market in your terms and using your definitions.
